BMW lines up again in 2009 WTCC - Return to the ALMS.
In 2009 BMW Motorsport will put its touring and sports car programmes into action on several popular stages, and will use racing versions of the BMW 3 series to fight for victories and titles.

BMW Motorsport Party in Munich - Engstler secures Sports Trophy.
The BMW Motorsport squad of Formula One drivers (Robert Kubica, Nick Heidfeld and Christian Klien), FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) works drivers and the junior racers from Formula BMW were joined by over 500 guests at the Postpalast venue in central Munich on Saturday evening for the end-of-year party and Sports Trophy presentation.

BMW works drivers celebrate class win in the Eifel.
In the Nürburgring 24-Hour Race, BMW WTCC drivers Jörg Müller and Augusto Farfus scored an impressive result. After 137 laps in the “Green Hell”, their BMW 320d crossed the finish line as best diesel car.

Jörg Müller and Augusto Farfus, who contest the World Touring Car Championship for BMW Team Germany, have made a promising start into their endurance-racing adventure. The 2008 Nürburgring 24-Hour Race is underway.

World Champion Priaulx receives BRDC award
Andy Priaulx keeps re-writing the motor racing history books and earlier this week, another chapter was added when the BMW Team UK driver was awarded the prestigious British Racing Drivers’ Club Gold Medal.

Almost double the participants - BTCC driver takes first place.
Interest has swelled yet again: in 2007 a total of 98 privateer drivers – almost twice as many as in the previous year – signed up for the traditional BMW Sports Trophy. Simultaneously, the field competing for the pot of prize money worth a quarter of a million euros took on a more international flavour.
