Andy Priaulx of BMW Team UK claimed his third consecutive drivers’ title in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. At Macau’s "Guia Circuit", he first secured a perfect starting position by finishing eighth in the first race. In race two, he converted pole position into a dominant victory.
Having 92 points under his belt, the 33-year-old relegated Yvan Muller (SEAT) to second place in the overall classification. In the Manufacturers’ Championship, BMW also managed to score the "hat-trick" of world titles. Over the past 22 races, the brand accumulated a total of 255 points.
