Priaulx to contest the “Race of Champions” again.
Andy Priaulx is to once again contest the “Race of Champions”, which will be held in December at Wembley Stadium. He is eager for some “pay back” when it comes to seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher.
“The Race of Champions brings together the world's top drivers and Andy is undoubtedly one of the toughest,” said Fredrik Johnsson, President of event organisers, IMP. “The level of competitiveness in the World Touring Car Championship is so intense, it is truly amazing for him to have scored a hat-trick of world titles. We are thrilled that Andy will be racing at Wembley with us again this year.”

Seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher will also be among the motor racing aces racing in London. “Michael is a tough competitor and we have a lot of respect for each other but when the lights go out there will be no holding us back,” says Priaulx. And the BMW Team UK driver has set himself an ambitious goal for the event, due to take place on 14th December. “It's fun, yes, but of course I want to win,” he warns.

In 2007, the semi- finals meant the end for the local hero’s bid to secure the title. At that time, he was defeated by Schumacher. “It was frustrating to get so close but not make either final last year,” admits Priaulx. “Competing at Wembley was incredible. They say the support of a home crowd gives you an extra second a lap, you can really feel them egging you on, the noise is phenomenal.”
