BMW 320si WTCC – Racing Version.

For the second successive season the BMW 320si WTCC has proven itself as the strongest car on the World Touring Car Championship grid, with BMW celebrating its third such title in as many years. This success is not coincidental, but the result of intense development work.

The BMW 320si WTCC was developed by BMW Motorsport by using the eponymous series production car as base vehicle. After a successful campaign in 2006, the engineers in Munich were able to further improve the vehicle for 2007. Thus it is no surprise that demand for the racing kits, with which customer teams are able to campaign in Super2000 series world-wide, has risen sharply. By beginning 2008 over 50 such models will have been delivered. The BMW 320si WTCC has already claimed numerous national championships.

With a ten-point Manufacturers’ Championship lead over its closest competitor, BMW headed for Macau – where it secured yet another title for itself. Whenever a world touring car title has been awarded to a manufacturer, it has inevitably gone to Munich.
